Dr. Ramiro Zuniga has worked in the K12 arena for more than 30 years. He has held many leadership roles at several public school districts in Texas. Dr. Zuniga, affectionately known as Dr. Z earned his Associate of Applied Science in Industrial Data Processing, a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems, a Master of Education in Educational Technology, and an Educational Doctorate in Educational Leadership.

Dr. Z shares the inspirational story that is his educational journey. Born into poverty in the Rio Grande Valley, of South Texas, Dr. Z. faced many challenges. Any one of these challenges could have derailed his efforts in pursuing an education. Fortunately, he had the support of several individuals that played a part in his success. Ultimately, Dr. Z. enjoyed a career in the K12 technology arena. This is truly a story the epitome of the American Dream.

Dr. Z. shares the story of how his father imparted his wisdom upon him at a young age. It was a typical day, as the story goes, but the wisdom shared was beyond typical. This was especially true considering that Dr. Z.’s father had very little formal education. The 21 words that a struggling father shared with his son impacted his son’s life forever.
